Rising Stars
WES GORDON and Misha Nonoo of Nonoo were jointly awarded the Fashion Group International's annual Rising Star accolade last week at a ceremony attended by designers Catherine Malandrino and Tommy Hilfiger - whose daughter Alexandria was also nominated for the prize.
"To get up in front of a room full of people that I admire and am in such complete awe of was, although terrifying, such a huge honour and I am so grateful," Gordon told WWD. "Also, it was pretty nice to have a two-and-a-half-hour lunch so close to Fashion Week, when I probably would have normally been eating something standing up over my desk in the two minutes between fittings."
Previous winners of the prize include Joseph Altuzarra (2010), and Fabiola Arias for Fabiola Arias and Bradley Scott for Bradley Scott (2011).
