MIUCCIA PRADA is back on Forbes' billionaire list for the first time in six years, after deciding to float her label on the Hong Kong stock exchange in January last year. According to the annual chart, the Prada designer is worth $6.8billion (£4.3 billion), ranking at 139 in the world's billionaire list. Her husband and the brand's ceo, Patrizio Bertelli is worth $3.7 billion (£2.34 billion).

For the second year running, fashion's richest man is LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault - with his net worth valued at an impressive £41 billion (£25.9 billion) - the same amount as 2011, a figure which makes him the richest man in Europe. The founder of high street store Zara, Amancio Ortega came fifth, with $37.5 billion (£23.75 billion). At number eight came H&M chairman Stefan Persson, with $26 billion (£16.46 billion).

Other fashion names to feature on the list include François Pinault and his family with $13 billion (£8.23 billion), Selfridges owner Galen Weston and his family with $7.6 billion (£4.81 billion), Ralph Lauren and Chanel owners Alain and Gerard Wertheimer with $7.5 billion (£4.74 billion), Giorgio Armani with $7.2 billion (£4.55 billion) and Philip and Christina Green - who at $4.2 billion (£2.65 billion) - are worth the same as Sir Richard Branson.
