New Role
CHARLIZE THERON has become a mother for the first time, after adopting a baby boy.
"Charlize Theron has adopted a child," a spokesperson for the Oscar-winning actress told US Weekly. "She is the proud mum of a healthy baby boy named Jackson."
Theron, who split from long-term boyfriend Stuart Townsend in January 2011, has previously spoken about her desire to be a mother.
"I want a baby," Theron told Germany's In Touch magazine last year. "If it would happen tomorrow I would be very happy... There are so many unwanted children on this earth and it's our job to care for them. And if we don't we're doing the world a disservice."
